The power to control your cholesterol level is in your hands. We’re lucky to live in a time when cholesterol levels can be controlled using drugs like Generic Lipitor, but that doesn’t mean basic healthy diet management should be ignored. In fact, eating right has been proven to reduce cholesterol levels by up to twenty percent!
The problem is, people these days don’t know what to eat. Everything is fast food or packaged to go, and the challenge of actually keeping track of what you eat, let alone regulating it, can be particularly daunting. You’ve probably read dozens of recipes online specially prepared to treat high cholesterol, but it’s all a blur. Here are a few secret tricks to help keep you healthy that you probably haven’t read about anywhere else.

White wine vinegar. One of the worst ways cholesterol can sneak back into your diet is when you’re greasing up a pan getting ready to cook. Think about it. You’ve got all your vegetables ready, you’re about to cook yourself a healthy, cholesterol-friendly meal, and what do you do? You splash a bucketful of oil in the pan. Trust me, it adds up, and it’s not good for you. Why don’t you use some cholesterol-free white wine vinegar instead? It doesn’t change the taste of the food one bit.

Eat more potatoes. Everybody knows that you should avoid sodium, which is true. But did you know that potassium (found in potatoes) can counteract sodium? Keep your sodium levels down, but make sure you get your daily fix of potassium to keep it even lower.

Spice up your seasoning. Instead of flavoring foods with more salt or more cream, stock up on oregano, cilantro, thyme, rosemary, and anything else you can get your hands on. Spicing things up adds no cholesterol, and can satisfy your more flavorful cravings.
Eating right to treat high cholesterol has never been easier, with or without Lipitor!
