If you’re looking to lose weight fast but hate feeling hungry all day, then this is the diet for you. It also works well for people who are using diet pills that help curb your appetite, like the all natural Phentermine 37.5 or Slimmer-X.
There’s one thing you need to know for this diet—if you don’t think you can plan ahead, then this diet is not for you. If you decide to “wing it” in planning your snacks, then you’ll inevitably overeat or turn to junk food.
That being said, here’s how the diet works. If you’re trying to lose weight quickly, but healthfully, you’ll want to consume about 1600-1800 calories a day. Of those calories, you’ll want to get enough protein, iron, fiber, and vitamins. Just to be on the safe side, while you’re restricting your calories to these numbers you should take a multivitamin that includes iron.
Every day you’ll consume 6 snacks that each contains about 300 calories. At the beginning of each day, you’ll set aside your plan.
300 calories can actually go quite a far way if you plan right. Your 300 calories could all go into one cookie, for example, or it could go into a whole wheat English muffin, 1 tbsp of low fat cream cheese, 1 hard boiled egg, and a ½ cup of fruit.
Here are other filling, healthy 300-calorie snack/meal ideas:
- One cup of cereal, 8 oz. of skim milk, 1 banana, 1 coffee, 1 small glass of orange juice.
- 4 oz. of skinless, boneless chicken breast with lemon juice, pepper, and salsa, 1 cup of broccoli, a small handful of raisins.
- Whole wheat pita, 2 tbsp of hummus, sliced, raw vegetables, and a low fat veggie burger.
- Light yogurt, 1 cup of fresh berries, ¾ cup of fiber-rich muesli.
